March and April Coffee Chats will be a two-part series on Grant Writing for Gleaning Organizations hosted by Morgan Curry the Executive Director of Skagit Gleaners. This two-session workshop will explore the knowledge and practices that support effective grant writing identifying the most effective approaches to the full application cycle from prospect research to grant submission. Attendees will also learn effective strategies for reporting, renewing and sustaining relationships with funders. You will be equipped with valuable tools, templates and datasets that can be used in your grant writing.
These sessions will introduce a developing area of philanthropy that is centered around equity. While simultaneously acknowledging the harmful aspects of traditional philanthropy, we will learn about efforts that are changing conventional funding landscapes, like community centric giving and trust-based philanthropy. Learn about what structural changes your organization can do right now to prepare for these opportunities.
