Join us for a gathering of gleaners from across the state.
Date: Wednesday, April 29, 2026
Time: Noon – 2:30 pm
Location: Marina Village Conference Center, 1936 Quivira Way, San Diego, CA, 92109
We will spend time over lunch talking shop and collaborating to find solutions to the problems your organizations face every day. There will be presentations on the impact of fruit fly spraying and a roundtable discussion on SB1383 on backyard and farm gleaners. California is home to dozens of gleaning organizations but given the nature of the work and the state’s size, it is rare for more than two or three of us to be in the same room together. Let’s seize this moment when we are already gathering for the symposium to spend a few hours together.
This event is free if you are attending the symposium, but if you can’t make the full event, we ask that you pay $25 to help cover food and room rental costs. If you want to attend this event or the full symposium but cannot afford it, please use this link to apply for a scholarship.
