Cara Michelle Silverberg

Cara serves as the Director of Intercultural Learning and Land-Based Programs at Rachel’s Table of Western Massachusetts. She brings more than twenty years of experience developing programs that build connection—to land, to self, and to community—through secular, Jewish, and interfaith place-based learning and educational design. Rooted in her Jewish and Sicilian/Southern Italian heritages, Cara approaches her work with sensitivity to how colonization, migration, and diaspora shape people’s relationships with land, food, and nourishment. She attended her first Gleaning Symposium in 2023 and has been hooked on AGO ever since. She values the network’s relaxed collegiality and strong professional support and is glad to give back by serving on the Board.
