Create a Plan For Your Organization
In completing the background research for the Gleaning Census, we found that points of leadership transition – going from an all-volunteer to an organization with paid staff, the retirement of a veteran Executive Director, or transition of key staff can result in severe stress to an organization or even organizations shuttering for good. With this in mind, AGO is creating a Leadership Transition Cohort to help you manage through. You will work with peers and experts in the field to create a comprehensive Leadership Transition Plan. Whether you have begun drafting a plan and want to refine it, or don’t know where to start, this program is for you. Leadership transition takes a team and so we are asking that multiple members of your organization register and participate. While it is never too early to start planning for leadership transition, priority will be given to organizations facing a transition in the next three years.
